Eligibility & application
- Be a permanent Texas resident and consult a physician registered with the Compassionate Use Program about a qualifying condition.
- The physician enters the prescription in the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT). Patients do not register separately and DPS charges no patient registration fee.
- Bring the required identification to a licensed dispensing organization. This program does not issue a separate patient card.

DPS: no patient fee. Leafwell evaluation published at $99.
